Community-Based Services

 

This program provides opportunities that enable a person to be a valued and active member of our community. Participants engage in a variety of cultural outings and social enrichment activities such as educational classes, clubs, and volunteering while learning and practicing skills necessary for full inclusion in the community.

Facility-Based Services
 

This program provides services and supports that occur in our facility-based setting. Qualified staff assist individuals in acquiring, retaining, and improving skills related to self-care, sensory/motor development, socialization, daily living, and communication. These skills allow individuals to pursue and achieve employment and/or community participation goals.

Medicaid-Alternative Pathways (MAPs)

 

MAPS is a three-year program that embraces the use of enabling technologies to support independence at home, work, and in the community. MAPS is available to anyone with intellectual and developmental disabilities who has graduated high school or will graduate within three years.

Employment Services
 

JICL offers a wide range of employment services that assist a person in seeking, gaining, and retaining competitive employment. Services and supports are tailored to the individuals’ abilities and career goals and may include administering pre-employment assessments to identify areas of interest, assistance with job applications, practice with job interviews, and providing on the job coaching.

Social Services
 

JICL qualified Case Managers provide supports to ensure individuals have access to their basic needs by assisting them acquire and retain benefits including Social Security, TennCare, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, housing assistance, and eligibility.

Healthcare Oversight Services

 

Healthcare oversight services ensure access to quality care and safeguard the individual’s health and wellness. Our Case Managers assist individuals with their complex medical needs by coordinating appointments, communicating with physicians, acquiring treatment, and ensuring necessary follow-up.

Residential Services
 

JICL provides a variety of residential options that enable individuals to acquire, retain, and improve the skills necessary to reside in a home of their own. Skills taught such as cooking, housekeeping, personal care, grocery shopping, community engagement, and money management are adapted to the individual’s needs.

Transportation Services
 

Transportation is essential to independence, integration, and involvement. JICL robust transportation program supports each person’s individual vision as they travel to and from work, medical appointments, and activities in the community.
